Meet Sean Huey, our Upper Elementary English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher! Mr. Huey has a degree and teaching certificate from Texas A & M in History with a Minor in English. The most important thing to him in regard to education, is to meet students where they are and help them feel confident. He wants to ensure students do not only feel secure in their education, but who they are in life and as individuals. Mr. Huey knew that Shady Oak Primary School would be a great fit for his style of teaching and philosophy of education, as Shady Oak Primary promotes a positive school environment where students can truly feel safe and work on becoming their very best self.

Born and raised in the surrounding Houston area, I am the middle child and only boy in my family. I love to spend time with my dog, George, my family, and I am the caretaker of my loving grandmother. My hobbies include watching Houston sports and playing guitar. I look forward to a great year as part of the Shady Oak Primary team!
