Proud Members of the Texas PTA

We are proud and honored to be a part of the Parent Teacher Association. Shady Oak Primary School PTA is a local chapter of the National PTA and Texas PTA. The PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for education.

The Shady Oak Primary School PTA is organized by an Executive Board, Head of School, committees, and members. The Executive Board is comprised of the Head of School and the following elected positions: President, Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Programs, Treasurer, Secretary and Parliamentarian. These elected positions can only be filled by the same person a maximum of 2 consecutive years. Each year, committees are formed around the programs for that year. Volunteers may serve on the different committees. Members have strengths in a variety of areas that can serve our mission and we highly recommend that every PTA member take the time to serve in some capacity.
